It’s almost the time for the bees to be buzzing around your picnic and around the fruit that has fallen from the trees.  It’s honey time, when you bring all those honey laden dishes to your “honeys”.

You don’t have to be celebrating Rosh Hashana  to enjoy a honey cake.

Marcy Goldman’s Honey Cake

Marcy Goldman is the Queen of the Honey Cake.  Variations of Marcy Goldman’s recipe for honey cake must hold the record for the most cited recipe on the internet.  I stopped counting after the fourth page of my search.

Chocolate Honey Cake  Leah Cooks Kosher

And,  you don’t have to keep kosher to really enjoy Leah Jaffe’s site, Leah Cooks Kosher.  Leah has a bakery and a catering company.  Her recipes are excellent and  presented so that you easily understand the procedure.  Appropriate for beginning cooks as well as us old times. There also are gluten-free recipes although these two recipes definitely are not.  She recently added a video library.

Here is her video for making the Chocolate Honey Cake.

If you want to make the screen larger on a video, put your cursor over the image at the extreme right.  It will say—full screen.  Click.  You can always return to regular size by using the ESC key on your computer. (on the very top row, extreme left.)
